June has been busy, but in a really good way. We’ve seen friends, had visitors to stay, spent time together and celebrate the wedding of some amazing people.
Highlights for me have been seeing the baby at our 20 week scan – and Ben was off nursery that day so he could come too. I also spent an amazing day at The Woodland Spa in Burnley with my best girl friends. A barbecue with our church house group was another highlight – we’ve loved getting to know this group of friends since moving into Lancashire.
We also been part of the Love Clitheroe barbecue, visited our local primary school’s fete and had both my aunt and uncle, and Ben’s godfather Andre to stay. It’s been busy. Fortunately, work has started to calm down a little bit after the intense build up to exams, and for the first time since September, I’m not doing 3 hours marking and planning each night.
The real highlight has been the wedding of our friends Trisha and Odilon. Trish is Ben’s godmother, and we were so happy when she and Odilon got married. Ben had a brilliant time at ‘Twish and O.D.’s wedding party,’ and was thoroughly exhausted when we finally got home.
I also convinced Tim that we needed a family photo taken. It was only taken on an iPhone, and isn’t themed or anything, but it’s a nice reminder. We only have about 3 photos of us taken all together, which is terrible. Since moving, we do more and more as a family, and we’re always taking photos and making little videos of Ben. It’s nice to have some of us all together.
So here’s our Me and Mine photo for June. I wonder if I can convince them both to do it all again in a month?
