I served these baked potatoes for our dinner tonight. Our conversation went something like this:
“Tim, how’s your potato?”
“It’s a potato.”
He summed it up really. The potatoes were cooked through, they weren’t unpleasant in any way, they were just potatoes. Baked potatoes in the oven go crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside; these didn’t. They stayed kind of waxy, and tasted fine. I rarely make baked potatoes because I don’t often have the oven on for over an hour (or if I do, I don’t think about baked potatoes). These just cooked away.
